November 19, 2020 Update

We hope everyone is fine after the large storm that took place on the North Island. We realize that the server for the school district email went down, so some messages didn’t come through until later. To make sure messaging gets out and is available in a timely fashion, we will in the future send out information, as well, by Facebook or texts to people who have volunteered to disseminate the information in all of the communities.

We are finishing up the first week of Quarter 2 and courses are running smoothly. If you have any questions about your child’s classes, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the classroom teacher. Each teacher’s email address is on the NISS website.

COVID protocols continue in the new Quarter 2 classrooms. Students are reminded to wear masks in all common areas, use their designated doors, and hand sanitize going in and out of rooms. We need the assistance of parents to please make sure their child is coming to school with a mask. We want to keep everyone safe and COVID free.

Friday, November 20th will be a District Professional Development Day and staff will be participating in workshops. There will not be regular school on this day.

The PAC Zoom meeting that was scheduled for Nov. 18 was postponed due to the power outage. It has been rescheduled for Monday, November 23 at 6:00pm. Please email the Principal, if you would like the Zoom link sent to you.
