Grad is approaching and plans are being put into place. The next student and parent meetings will be held on April 22 at lunch and at 5:00 pm.
The school board has announced some changes in administration beginning next school year. In order to get some administrators working closer to the communities that they live in, Rena Sweeney will become the Principal of North Island Secondary School in Port McNeill and Stacia Johnson will become the Principal of Eagle View Elementary School in Port Hardy. Jillian Walkus will become the Principal of Port Hardy Secondary. Jay Dixon, after his 2-year secondment to the Ministry of Education, has accepted a Director of Instruction posting in the Comox Valley. We wish everyone the best in their new positions. We look forward to working with the families and students in our new roles.
A health and safety walk-through was completed this week in the new Science classrooms. A few final touch ups and adjustments are being made. We should be able to begin Quarter 4 classes in the new rooms. We will keep you posted.
April 23 Quarter 3 ends. Drop-in Support Day. Staff will be available to work with students who need extra time to complete tests, outstanding assignments, and projects, instead of regular classes that day.
April 26 Quarter 4 begins
April 29 High school schedule system Zoom discussion. We will be hosting a discussion about the quarter and semester systems in the evening at 6:00 pm. Any interested parents, staff and students are welcomed to attend. An email for participation will be sent out closer to the date.

May 14 NISS Earth Day Community Clean-up
